Water soars with Sarah Brightman’s unmistakable soprano for the tourists standing rapt along Las Vegas Boulevard. On the other side of the Bellagio fountains, an exclusive new space is elegantly twisting the club concept, from feel and function to the role of truffle béarnaise in a memorable night.
“This whole club is a paradigm shift. Where clubs have gotten bigger and louder, we wanted to go back to luxury, sophistication and hospitality,” says Oliver Wharton, food and beverage vice president for sbe, the LA-based lifestyle company that created the Hyde nightlife brand.

“It’s very simple," says Miami's homegrown world-renown DJ Irie. "Miami is the nightlife capital of the world. Hands down. The big DJs understand that to really be recognized, they have to have a presence in Miami.
Like many of today’s top imports who grace our city’s turntables, Miami’s most notable DJ, Irie (a.k.a. Ian Grocher), is increasingly rotating his rhythms among a new generation of Miami mega-clubs. As always, the cavalcade is centered on South Beach, its heavyweight hotspots, and various pop-ups too numerous to list here.
"Miami is always on the tip of people’s tongue," says Irie. "The city itself is a brand. The mixture of cultures lends itself to a mix of musical influences. That’s important to a DJ. It’s liberating.”
But the borders of clubland are far reaching these days. Now, platinum names like Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, and members of the chart-topping Swedish House Mafia (Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso), are venturing throughout the city’s clubscape to stake a claim in Miami’s evolving DJ legacy.
Paris Hilton Heads to Studio After Golden Globes Party
Paris Hilton has proven time and again how serious she is about being successful at everything she does and that includes her music. Many are not even aware she can sing. Paris recently revealed just how successful she really is and boasts her various product lines have earned more than $1 billion in the past six years. Her singing career has taken a backseat to her various business ventures, but she is bringing it forward in 2012. Hopefully, her magic touch will shine through on her latest project.
She is serious about her music, but Paris Hilton is also a die-hard party girl. She hit up a Golden Globes after-party, but cut her night short so she could get back into the studio. The entrepreneur tweeted, "'Straight from the Golden Globe After Parties 2 the recording studio. Making hits w/ @DJAfrojack @Shermanology @AntonyPreston @VoiceOfSparrow."
Voting for the world’s best clubs poll is now open! Top 100 Clubs is the only poll that matters – as it is decided by you lot – the dancefloor footsoldiers who travel the globe checking out the world’s best nocturnal destinations far and wide!
Will last year’s champion – Space Ibiza – manage to keep the top spot, or will 2010 victors – Sankeys – return to the top? Can Zouk, BCM, Privilege or Amnesia make a move for the key spot or will we see a resurgence of votes for 2009 winner - the super-underground Berghain?
Only you can decide, so cast your votes here and make history for your favourite clubs of the last twelve months!

UPCOMING RELEASE ::
ERICK MORILLO & EDDIE THONEICK FT. SKIN - 'IF THIS AIN'T LOVE' - RELEASED FEBRUARY 14TH ON SUBLIMINAL RECORDS
With legendary Skunk Anansie singer Skin taking control of the vocal line, and the undisputable touch of label boss Erick Morillo and regular partner in crime Eddie Thoneick on production duty, Subliminal’s springtime big hitter ‘If This Ain’t Love’ receives its official release – rather appropriately – on Valentine’s Day.
A heady combination of dance floor dynamite and raunchy, sex infused rock, the track continues the winning pairing of Morillo and Thoneick, whose previous collaborations ‘Live Your Life’ and ‘Stronger’ dominated global airwaves and taste-maker charts across 2010 and 2011.
From the outset, ‘If This Ain’t Love’ is in a class of its own. The unmistakable voice of Skin provides an almost ethereal, euphoric dynamic against Morillo and Thoneick’s pumping house set-up. Soaring across thundering guitar riffs and uplifting piano chords, the singer’s emotive performance lifts the track higher and higher as the beats caress the bass lines underneath her.
The Sympho Nympho mix puts a more prominent dance edge on the track, with Erick, Harry Romero and Jose Nunez flexing their more-than-considerable musical muscles, perfecting the original with enough energy to rock the biggest rooms, stadiums and festivals on the planet.
The video is set in a futuristic world, with dazzling visuals; ever-iconic Skin is bought to life by the power of music under the watchful eyes of computerized masters Morillo and Thoneick.

Twitter to Host Its First Live Streaming Concert, Starring Tiësto [EXCLUSIVE]
HP and Intel will be hosting the first-ever live stream of a concert on Twitter next week at the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show. The headliner: electronic music master Tiësto.
The concert will kick off the launch of a new 10-episode series on YouTube called “In the Booth” — a behind-the-scenes look at Tiësto’s life and his impact on the electronic dance movement. The private event at the nightclub XS at Encore in Las Vegas will stream live from HP and Intel’s newly enhanced Twitter brand pages.
Tiësto will play a 90-minute set on Wednesday, January 11 starting at 10:00 p.m. PT. It will then play on a loop on HP and Intel’s Twitter page for the following 48 hours.
“We have offered streaming on the site before, but this is the first-time ever that the site will feature a live concert,” Rob Pietsch, Twitter’s director of West Coast sales, told Mashable. “HP came to us with the idea and we couldn’t be more excited to hear how the company and Intel will be using their Twitter brand pages to reach out to the public and become destination sites.
“It’s a first for us, and we expect in the future that more companies will integrate streaming video into their pages.”
"see, some years i really love subtle, nuanced, introspective electronic dance music. but in 2011 what excited me was electronic dance music that sounded like 1,000 buildings joyfully falling down during the apocalypse. so, with that criteria, here are my favorite tracks & remixes of 2011. some people call it electro. some people call it it techno. some people call it rave. some people call it edm.
i truly don't care what it's called, i just think it sounds amazing at 3 a.m in front of 50,000 people."-moby

Check out our exclusive interview with Talented DJ/Producer Paul Thomas, who has taken some time out of his busy schedule to speak with us.
Hello Paul, tell us a little bit about yourself.
I'm from Birmingham in the UK, I'm a resident for Godskitchen and GlobalGathering, and I work with labels such as Toolroom, Spinnin', Funk Farm and Doorn. I've also got a lot of love of Japanese food.
How and where did your interest for house music start?
In the mid-late 90's I guess. My home city of Birmingham had a lot of original and inspiring clubbing brands back then, such as Miss Moneypennys, S.L.A.G., Wobble, plus the harder side of the spectrum like Sundissential and Godskitchen. I used to go and see DJ's like Judge Jules, Scott Bond and DJ Taucher at my first 'proper' club, Republic at Bakers, which was completely different and fresh in contrast to the commercial clubs I'd been used to.
What was the first record you bought?
My first dance 12" was Altantic Ocean 'Waterfall'
Which production software do you use and why?
I'm still a Logic fan, even though most people are switching to Ableton. It took me so long to get my head around Logic, that I will feel cheated if I ever leave it!
How would you describe your sound?
Progressive house I guess, although progressive seems to have changed completely in the past couple of years!
If you could pick one artist to collaborate with, who would you choose and why?
Whenever I get asked this question, I always say someone different to the previous time, and my mood and sound changes all the time! Right now I'd probably say Eric Prydz.
Who are your favourite artists in the scene right now?
There's so many unsung heroes out there, such as Jon Kong & Chris Aidy, Lay & Browne, Max Freegrant... The Beatport progressive chart seems to be overloaded with people making either Dutch or Swedish club house. Scratch the surface and you'll find some amazing producers making some really great underground stuff. Guy Mantzur, David Granha, Cid Inc, Jerome Isma-Ae, Funkagenda... I'm loving everything these guys are doing too.
Finally what can we expect from you in 2012?
Lots of new music! I've got new tracks signed to Toolroom, Spinnin', Diffused, Garuda and others. There's some cool collaborations on the way with people like Funkagenda, Kim Fai, Alex Di Stefano and Jerome Isma-Ae. I'm also heading to my first Miami WMC in March, doing a whole week of parties, and this year will also see my first full North America tour. And the launch of my 'Ultraviolet' podcast. Can't forget that!

KRYO Christmas for FUNKAGENDA + ERICK MORILLO @ Music Box - NEW SHARAM RECORD
It was a very V-MODA Christmas last Thursday in LA when non other than the only LEE KALT & FUNKAGENDA dropped in to the VMODA Mansion atop the Hollywood Hills to help CEO, VAL KOLTON, in serenading 300 eagerly awaiting EDM fans for the V-MODA annual Christmas party.
Guest arrived just after nightfall greeted by a spectacular light show, h'orderves and CEO, VAL KOLTON played Santa Claws passing out lots of free headphones from the V shaped DJ booth in his living room.
"Just got off the phone with @VMODA, best customer service I've had in a while. Nice to see a company that gets it!" V-MODA
The rowdy Christmas ravers were certainly surprised when Kryoman appeared up form the depths of the lower floors of the mansion lighting up the crowed with numerous LED light and cooling of the crowd with blasting freezing fog.
If you think that’s enough excitement for one night, this was only the pre party at 1 am. Partygoers all trekked down Sunset Plaza Drive for the official after party featuring ERICK MORILLO live at Music Box. The stage at Music Box was so packed with so many Erick Morillo supporters people were falling off the stage. All guest on the stage wore jingle bell necklaces and red LED lite reindeer antlers.
No Subliminal party would be perfect with out the right Subliminal music. Erick Morillo not short of giving his fans of what they want laying down the new Subliminal vocal masterpieces, ITS ON TONIGHT, produced by LEE KALT and ANTRANIG featuring NIR, who also belted a few lines of the record out at the pre party when LEE KALT played dropped the track.
After Erick Morillo’s set, the HOUSE MUSIC TV crew left LA under the cover of night to make it back to New York Friday night for a special one night only show at Kiss & Fly. The club was filled with EDM fans wanting to hear something good after having all just left the SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA sold out show at Madison Square Garden. Lee Kalt’s set at Kiss & Fly proved to be one of his best sets of the year. Even Val Kolton who miraculously made his way to New York as well after the Erick Morillo party at Music Box was a staple in the DJ booth all night.
Kiss & Fly is no stranger to the Subliminal sound, in 2007 when the club opened, LEE KALT wrote and produced what quickly became the clubs official theme song. The record tiled KISS AND FLY featuring MISSUS M. on vocals was quickly snatched up Erick Morillo for his Subliminal Records label and featured on the Subliminal Sessions 11.
For those of you who missed Kiss & FLY on Friday LEE KALT will be performing at Greenhouse for one last show this year.
After the New Year, HOUSE MUSIC TV & LEE KALT will be returning to San Francisco at SLONANE SQUARED, a much a waited anticipation after many years
.

You've gotten to know the DJ, so you can leave your coat in the booth for free, but that paves the way for a dry-cleaning bill larger than the national debt because of the spilled drinks that turn your garment into a bottom-shelf vodka rag...You grandly enter the action and notice that, once again, you've neurotically arrived about two hours too soon. You squintingly try to read your best friend's new confessional novel on your iPhone in a corner, but your eyes hurt, you look silly, and the book really sucks.
You politely talk to a promoter for what seems like an eternity in order to score a drink ticket, but eventually he/she just walks away as if all you'd wanted was to gab and catch up...Once you break down and decide to pay for some liquids, the bartender waters down your drinks and double charges your credit card whereas you wish they'd double charge your drinks and water down your credit card...Having to scream inane comments over the music makes them sound even more idiotic...There's always some oaf running around yelping: "This isn't a scene at all—not what I'd call a scene! Nightlife used to be way better!"...They're usually right...Drag queens will either suck out your tonsils with a hello kiss or openly read you with snapping fingers—no in-between.

Thomas Gold has been plying his progressive, tech and melodic, beat driven 4-4 house at parties across the world and releasing monster tracks on the likes of Size, Phazing and Toolroom for a few years now. With recent collaborations with the likes of Dirty South and remixes for the likes of Lady Gaga and Adele, 2011 has been his biggest year yet. We caught up with the Munich born producer ahead of his upcoming show for Nightowl at London super club, Ministry of Sound, alongside Hardwell, Tim Mason & Jesse Voorn on the 23rd December...
It's been a busy year for you. A jam packed diary with gigs across the globe, big productions and some massive remixes. Would you say it's been your biggest yet?
Yes, definitely! This year has been the biggest and also the most exciting for me! So many great things have happened, I had the chance to play some of the biggest events like Masquerade Motel in Miami alongside SHM, Electric Daisy Carnival, Creamfields, I played with Axwell and a couple of Size Matters parties with Steve. I've also been touring the USA a lot which has been fantastic! Apart from that, I’ve done the remixes for Lady Gaga and Adele and of course the track I did together with Dirty South "Alive" which I'm really proud of. But for me one of the biggest things was to realise how many fans there are and how excited people get about my music! Can't really describe it but this is something very special and I think that was the biggest thing for me this year.
Your recent remix of Adele's 'Set fire to the rain' has had over 10 million hits on YouTube, an amazing achievement. How did that come about?
To be honest... I don't know! I guess one of the reasons is because it's Adele. Her voice is incredible, the song is incredible. Maybe because the EDM scene is so huge now worldwide. My remix is kind of a crossover between the original slow pop song and my clubby, progressive house approach when I did the remix. It seems this combination works well and people seem to love it. I can see that every time I play the track. But it's overwhelming to see how many views it gets on youtube! CLICK TO WATCH

Harder, Better, Faster: Why College Kids Spend More at The Club
Forget textbooks and tuition, the only thing most college students are interested in dropping dollars on these days is a fun night out at the club. So what if there isn’t a football team to root on or a homecoming tailgate in the picture? It’s in their nature to go out and wreak havoc on the town and on their wallets. And with no bills to pay and plenty of time to nurse nasty hangovers, there’s not much stopping college coeds from going out and hitting the clubs hard. Here are a few reasons why:
1) Mom and Dad Still Pay the Bills
2) Higher Tolerance Means Higher Bills
3) Just Recently Turned 21
4) Sick of the Frat Party Scene

A travel nightmare: Man stands throughout 7-hour flight
(CNN) -- Air travelers usually are prepared for the occasional hectic and overcrowded flight. But all are hoping they'll at least be able to sit down.
Arthur Berkowitz, 57, stood for the length of his US Airways flight in July after a fellow passenger occupied half of his seat. The non-stop flight from Anchorage to Philadelphia lasted seven hours.
"I didn't fly from Alaska to Philadelphia," Berkowitz said on consumer advocate Christopher Elliott's blog, Elliott.org. "I stood."
CNN recently reported on the extensive flight delays that travelers experienced during last month's snowstorm. JetBlue has begun reimbursing those customers for their eight-hour tarmac waits, and Berkowitz feels US Airways should do more to address the issue of his extended standing. read more

The happiest people dont necessarily have the best of everything but they make the most of everything. Steve Angello
There’s always a buzz ahead of a hot new Subliminal Records release, but this week’s track from Italian label newcomers Promise Land has proved to be a little bit special before it’s even dropped.
‘Never Be Lonely’ features some stunning vocals courtesy of the legendary Sandy B and has all the ingredients of a modern house music classic. Our Twitter and Facebook feeds have full of excited feedback on the original and the excellent Master Mood remix.
“This is a huge reward for us,” beam the duo. “We just recall when we were 16 years old, we used to buy all the tracks out on Subliminal… and now we see one of our own single on the label. It’s just a WOW thing!”
With a growing catalogue of productions and remixes to their name they have made some fans in high places, including our own Erick Morillo.
“When Erick asked us to make a track for him, we went straight into the studio and worked with all our passion,” they tell us.
“This track just flowed really quick. We started from the central melody written for piano, we built up the whole atmosphere smooth and then dropped a big kick, conceived as a total floorkiller!
“Then we asked our manager to find a voice for this record and he proposed Sandy B. We instantly thought she was a great name and a great voice so we immediately accepted.”
The boys knew they were onto something special with the vibe they had already laid down, but were still unsure what the final tune would be like, until they head the vocal.
“When we laid down Sandy’s vocal parts we just looked each other and thought: it’s perfect! The mood was exactly what we wanted, we were so pleased. We can only say our special thanks to Sandy, Tony and Hosh.”

024 - Will Deep Dish Reunite + Morillo vs Tenaglia + Amnesia Miami Feels Like Ibiza
"It's On Tonight" Erick Morillo Drops Lee Kalt & Antranig's Upcoming 2012 Sondos Track
Erick Morillo celebrated Thanksgiving Eve last night a Pacha NYC where Subliminal Sessions played host to none other than DANNY TENAGLIA. The two played together once this past summer at Pacha Ibiza for Subliminal Sessions. Last night the reunited for the second time driving the crowd in to an overwhelming frenzy of cheering and chanting. Also in the house were Subliminal Records Artists ANTRANIG and LEE KALT.
Antranig and Kalt are both known to be long time fans of Tenaglia, who's weekly New York Be Yourself Party attracted them to the seen over 10 years ago. Antranig and Kalt are now rumored to be working together on a new breed of music for SONDOS the underground sub label of ERICK MORILLO's Subliminal Records.
"The 'work in progress' sounds something like this... but more sexy! :)" Antranig
SONDOS which was a leader in dance music 10 years ago was temporary put to sleep some years ago. After going dark, SONDOS is now back in action with LEE KALT and ANTRANIG providing the new tunes with the help of some others as well. The first collaboration of KALT and ANTRANIG titled "It's On Tonight" featuring NIR was served up to the crowd last night at PACHA and brought the house down with sound of fans chanting its lyrics "Girl I want that ass tonight." This first collaboration of ANTRANIG and LEE KALT is due out on SONDOS in January 2012.
In this weeks episode of HOUSE MUISC TV: We land at LAX for a weekend of Hollywood excitement. Carl Kennedy feat. Cheyenne Tozzi – Once Upon A Time Signed to Erick Morillo's Subliminal Records
The noteworthy preferences of DJ Tijs Verwest, also known as Tiësto, have turned heads since mid 90’s. And with his successful radio show, Club Life, airing weekly on Sirius XM, his significance in clubland is growing by the day. That being said, it’s no surprise this new single from Carl Kennedy saw its primal unveiling on behalf of the superstar DJ from Holland earlier this Fall. Kennedy, whom was proclaimed in early 00’s along with signings to Toolroom, Stealth and Cr2, has managed to become an acquainted DJ and producer thanks to his stirring outputs with genuine vibes of the white isle that is Ibiza. Since he teamed up with the now widely known Tommy Trash and vocalist Rosie Henshaw for the release of Blackwater through Subliminal last year, the advancement of the New York-raised Carl Kennedy has not slipped anyone by lately. read more CLICK TO LISTEN

AMNESIA is open in Miami and we were there last weekend for Wally Lopez. The new club occupies the Opium Garden/ Prive space south of fifth street on Miami Beach. The new club which used to be outdoor is now enclosed and very reminiscent of AMNESIA IBIZA. Its a total departure from other South Beach clubs like LIV, Mansion and Set. The room offers a light display, which could possibly be the finest we have ever seen. The effects are well thought out and deliver a show that is second to none. The room has a very open and sexy feel with a dance floor, which was packed and moving. The sound system drives a powerful punch when u hit the floor and smashes the tables and baloneys just as well. Its not that its loud, its warm and clear to the point that a conversion can be held on the dance floor with out the need to yell in order to be heard. Look of for this party in an upcoming episode of House Music TV.

Exclusive MyCityByNight Interview and Mix By Sébastien Léger
MCBN: Around the world, you are regarded as a prolific and extremely talented producer. Your Essential mixes on BBC reflect your broad taste and an ear for everything from techno to minimal and house. Where would you say your musical influences come from?
To make it easy and short : Funk & Disco, to make it more precise : a touch of Chicago House, a bit of late 90′s French Touch, some funky Napolitan Techno and a little of groovy German stuff.
MCBN: Production software and technology is so accessible these days with the industry becoming saturated as a result. Is there any advice you would give to aspiring producers in light of this?
Surely you have to be patient, as there is so (too) many “producers” around, and it’s getting really difficult to get noticed as a new comer. But being original/different is a major key to the success or at least to break through. Too many people copying each-other and in the end you can’t see the difference on who did what.
MCBN: If you could have dinner, chowing on some epic beats, with three producers/DJs – who would they be and why?
Format:B, Popof and Super Flu. Just because we are friends and it makes the whole dinner a lot more fun Otherwise - Anyone who shares the same taste of music and doesn’t act like he’s the fucking coolest shit in the world
MCBN: Throughout your insane career, you must have played at some amazing festivals and parties all over the world, what has been your favourite party(s) you have played at and why?
It’s hard to tell, but I always have in my mind that insane festival in France, Astropolis, back in 1998 where I played with Thomas Bangalter (half Daft Punk and unmasked) doing his live show and the next year just before Laurent Garnier as a secret guest. That for the good old memory, but recently I played at Electric Piknic in Montreal and it was the best gig I have done in the last two year. It was a very special moment with amazing crowd, as the blue sky turned from a beautiful sky to a pouring with rain. The euphoria under all the rain was magic

Queen of Clubs Nadia Ali Sweeps into Mokai A decade ago she and iiO roared around the world with a steamy sing-song called "Rapture." Since '05 though, the Queens-raised, Libyan-born, Pakistani-American songstress has been solo, backed by everyone from BT to Avicii, and racking an unparalleled series of kickass dance tracks, each more massive than the last. She is Grammy-nominated Nadia Ali, the undisputed Queen of Clubs, and she sweep[ed] into Mokai [last] Wednesday night.
How'd Nadia Ali come to be the Queen of Clubs? I suppose the title comes after years of working with DJ/Producer royalty such as Armin van Buuren and Sander van Doorn, in addition to being remixed by the likes of Deep Dish, Avicii and Kaskade. I'm also grateful that so much of my newer music has been supported by Tiesto, David Guetta and Swedish House Mafia, which has helped expose me to an increasingly wider audience.
